Due to budgetary constraints the John Crerar
Library will reduce operating hours effective June 22, 2009 from 24 hours a day
to:
Opening:
Monday-Sunday 8:00am
Closing:
Sunday-Thursday 1:00am
Friday and Saturday 10:00pm
The decision to close the building during these
early morning hours is based on:
1) Our statistics which show us that the library is not used often between 1:00am-8:00am.
2)
Our
statistics which show that the nature of information use and retrieval in the sciences has changed dramatically since the Crerar Library first opened in
1984, with the majority of access to journal articles now taking place
online.
